We are close friends to Justin and Abra Wallis and I have been following your journey through your Facebook updates. I have just read your blog and your faith is inspiring....I have prayed for your family and will continue to do so in the future!! The Lord has definitely blessed Baby Hudson with two amazing parents....thank you for sharing your story!!
Just want you guys to know that Conner is your prayer warrior!! Thank you for sharing. Conner has been telling me bits and pieces in his own words, the best a 9 year old can, but now I better understand what's going on. He seemed sad last week and I kept asking him what was wrong and he told me "we just need to pray, Momma". I asked him why and for whom and he said "Baby Hudson, he needs us". He proceeded to tell me about his heart and I could see worry and concern in Conner's eyes. Concern that had been with him for a couple of days. We prayed that day, and have every day since. Conner has experienced, maybe for the first time, the true peace that God instills in us when we pray to him. My prayer is for you both to experience that peace as well. You all are loved by so many, but more than you will ever know by a little guy named Conner!
I worked with Christie at Highland Park..You are all in my prayers. My son also was born with a heart defect, aortic coarctation. We have used Dr. Romp since he was 3 days old and he is now almost 9. I loved your story about him. He is so uplifting! Braden had to be in Birmingham in NICU for 8 weeks. He had surgery at 7 weeks old to repair his aorta. I know this doesn't compare to your story but I can feel your worry, your pain, your despair and sometimes your anger. Keep your eyes on him and he will help you through. I will continue to follow your story. Blessings to all.
It's almost time for Baby Hudson to be born and I am continuing to pray for you and Jamey. God is watching over you and will give you the strength you need. Be happy and peaceful. Big hugs xo
Brittain and Jamey, Your statement of faith is almost as beautiful as your son. Your honesty to our Lord, and revelation about His character come only come from knowing Him, and loving Him with all your heart. He welcomes your questions, and reaches out with open arms when you can't understand. Our Father knows our hearts and delights when we share all of ourselves with Him. In that intimacy we can boldly approach the Throne of Grace and lay our burdens at His feet. I am praying that the presence of Holy Spirit surround you and welcome Hudson. "May the Lord bless you and keep you , May His face shine upon you"
Brittain, Your blog brings all kinds of emotions. I particularly admire the openness of faith. I cannot imagine the overwhelming burden that you carry. It's easy to remind you that God will never give you more than you can handle. I'm sure there are times when you don't fully believe that. But, let the prayers of your friends and family bring you up at times of weakness. I, along with my family and church will be lifting you, your husband and Baby Hudson up to the Lord from here on.

We celebrated Hudson's beautiful little life today by performing random acts of kindness to strangers. A sweet young lady working in a shoe store in the mall looked like she was having a challenging day. When I showed her the flyer with Hudson's picture and story, I also offered to treat her to lunch. She was very grateful and said " you really made my day!" and promised to pass on kindness to someone else. We also brought cookies to the hard-working staff of our local lawn mower repair shop. They were touched by Hudson's story and pledged to pass on kindnesses to others. It was a blessing to us to remember little Hudson on his birthday! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you both. We keep his beautiful picture on our refrigerator to remind us of his wonderful little spirit! May God bless you with the peace that is beyond all understanding! Carmen Perkins
Hi, my name is Thom Smith and I live in Bradford, New Hampshire. Each year for the past three years my church has asked me to write a devotional / reflection for our Christmas Eve Concert. This year my topic is focusing on why people actually celebrate Christmas and why we should celebrate Christmas. It discusses how Jesus is our light in this world of tragedy. I was so deeply touched by your story of triumph over tragedy, and I wanted to ask permission to use your story in my reflection for those that attend our Christmas Eve Concert. Sincerely,
